Hampshire Music 2000 was launched in July 1998 and included three main areas of activity. By August 2000 Hampshire Music 2000 achieved:

HM2000 logo 2000 musical events.
HM2000 logo acquired 2000 additional instruments.
HM2000 logo enabled 2000 young people to play together in a "Grand Finale".
